Restrict the display of a queue from specific users

Let's say the administrator wanted to restrict a group of users from seeing specific queues:

  1. Creating a Permission Group in the iSymphony configuration named "Restricted-Queues". The name is not important to functionality, just for future reference.
  2. The [gliffy] macro is a standalone macro and it cannot be used inline. Click on this message for details.
Check the profiles you wish to restrict the queue display.
  3. In the Permission Group configuration you will want to add the user(s) you wish to restrict as a member of the group. Once the group is added you will get some additional buttons at the bottom of the Group properties page.

  4. Next you will want to select Queue under Permissions in the Permission group configuration page. Make sure the option "Apply permissions for all Queues" is unchecked.

  5. Select the name of the queue that you checked in the queue list which will open the permission list for the queues. Uncheck "Display" in each queue.
