Symptoms

Asterisk crashes with a SEGFAULT when a call is parked in iSymphony.

Cause

Specific versions of Asterisk contain a bug that causes the system to SEGFAULT when a call to ParkAndAnnounce is made. The confirmed affected versions are:

  • 1.8.9.0
  • 1.6.0.21
  • 1.6.2.1
  • 1.4.29.1

Resolution

Upgrade or downgrade to a version of Asterisk that is not affected by the bug.
