Overview

iSymphony 3.0.0 RC 1 has introduced several new improvements, features, and bug fixes. This release serves as a potential release candidate for iSymphony 3.0.0 stable.

Features

  • Added support for app_confbridge.
  • Added support to synchronize iSymphony User Status with Asterisk Presence State. Requires Asterisk 11.7 or higher. See Status Sync for more information.

Improvements

  • The "Users" administration section has been renamed to "Users and Security".
  • The "Users" and "User Groups" sections are now under "Users and Security".
  • Customized HTTP error pages to be more ascetically pleasing.
  • Any items that can be clicked now show a pointer cursor when moused over.
  • More details have been added to the UI communication error message popups which open when encountering communication issues between the client and server.
  • Added Preferences section to the user menu.
  • Move the Call Setting page from the user menu to the Preferences section.
  • Added setting for users to specify the browser notification popup timeout to the Preferences section.
  • Service start/stop and startup/shudown.sh scripts now print more informative messages when they are run.
  • Startup scripts will no longer attempt to launch a new instance of the iSymphony Server if one is already running.
  • Added setting that allows users to define the width of user boxes in the Users Widget.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue where a user with no extensions would not automatically set its default extension when the first extension is added to it.
  • Fixed issue where timers would be off if the time on the server varied from the time on the client machine.
  • Fixed issue where exceptions would be thrown if CDR queries matched more than one record for recording data population.
  • Fixed issue where keyboard shortcuts would fail to work after setting your default extension in My Stream. 
  • Fixed issue where calls recorded from within iSymphony would not show up in the Recording widget.
  • Fixed issue where users would not be notified of connection problems if on the client login screen.
  • Fixed issue where a disabled user would be informed that they entered invalid credentials despite their credentials being correct. The user is now informed that their login is disabled.
  • Fixed issue where timers in My Stream would truncate if they exceeded one hour.
  • Fixed issue where deadlocks would occur when using a remote voicemail/recording agent.
  • Fixed issue where dragging a widget to another location in the dashboard would show the old widget style in the drag image.
  • Fixed issue where request timeout errors would be thrown when using the chat system.
  • Fixed issue where the iSymphonyServer.pid file would not be cleared on normal shutdown of the server.
  • Fixed issue where forcing logout of a user in the administration dashboard would result in a request timeout.
  • Fixed issue where logout would fail if the user had a sort method set in the Users Widget.
  • Fixed issue where call timers would stop when the Users Widget was sorted.
  • Fixed issue where call timers would disappear when the page was refreshed.
  • Fixed issue where voicemail notifications would show an I18N error.
  • Fixed issue where new voicemail notifications would not be created for new voicemails in some situations.
  • Fixed issue where voicemail notifications would be recreated for existing voicemails on server restart.

FreePBX Module

  • Fixed issue where the custom PEST library, included in the module, would cause FreePBX to stop responding due to a conflict with the PEST library that was recently added to FreePBX 2.11.

Known Issues

  • In some cases forwarded voicemails do not show up in the Voicemail widget.
  • In some cases attended transfers can cause stuck call state.
  • In some cases calls state can become stuck when ending a call.
  • Status colors do not change in the client when they are changed in the administrator.
  • Popups for incoming chat messages do not display the correct information.
