The following is a complete list of changes made between iSymphony 3.1 beta 2 and iSymphony 3.1 release candiate 1. If you are upgrading from iSymphony 3.0.x, please see the changelog for iSymphony 3.1 Beta 2 and iSymphony 3.1 Beta 1 as well.
Performance Improvements:
- Greatly reduced the amount of network traffic transmitted between the main iSymphony server and remote agents.
- Greatly improved the performance of the new Queue widget, decreasing the amount of time required to switch to or from a dashboard containing a Queue widget.
- Improved the startup performance of the default chat system, decreasing the amount of time required to start iSymphony on systems with many users.
Resolved Bugs:
- Resolved an issue preventing the Owned by User exception from applying to user-based permissions.
- Resolved an issue preventing users from using iSymphony to unpark calls that were originally parked via an attended transfer on the phone.
- Resolved an issue causing the permissions editor to ignore and erase previously defined exceptions when a permissions is edited for a second time.
- Resolved an issue causing an error to appear when trying to save changes to a user while XMPP support is enabled.
- Resolved an issue causing errors in the logs and a potential memory leak in the client interface when the browser tab is closed without logging out.
- Resolved an issue causing the build system to fail to include the proper revision number in the final installation packages.
- Resolved an issue causing an error to appear when trying to delete a core server.
- Resolved an issue preventing the license maintenance notification check from working correctly when multiple core servers are defined.
- Restored desktop notifications when new chat messages are received.
- Resolved an issue in the permission editor that would cause some permissions to disappear from the interface when deselecting one after batch-editing them.
- Resolved an issue allowing the interface for the permission editor to be enabled without a license.
- Fixed a misspelling in the queue widget.
- Resolved an issue preventing users from deleting persistent notifications from the notification tray.
- Resolved an issue causing the incorrect color to be used for the middle row of another user's box if they were on the phone when the active user logged in.
- Resolved an issue causing an occasional error dialog to appear when another user gets on a new call.
- Resolved an issue preventing remote agents from properly reconnecting when the main iSymphony server restarts.
- Resolved an issue preventing the policy from being displayed on inherited permissions in the permission editor.
Other Improvements and Changes:
- Improved the handling of the tooltip over the Full/Lite column of the users list in the administration interface, to make it less likely to get in the way when trying to toggle the full/lite status of many users.
- The subject list in the permission editor is now sorted alphabetically.
- Extension groups can now contain external numbers (cell phones).
