Symptoms

When attempting to play back a voicemail or recording in browser when using IE 10 and iSymphony v3 you get the following message.

Cause

IE 10 does not support the audio format your PBX is using to record files. This is normaly wav format.

Resolution

There are two resolutions to this issue

• Use a different browser that does support the audio format.

• Modify the settings on your PBX to record voicemail and recordings as MP3 or another format that IE 10 supports.

  Make sure to change the Resource Extension for the voicemail and recording agent to the new format. See Recording Agents and Voicemail Agents for more information.
