| This problem will also prevent the iSymphony server from connecting to the Asterisk server, as inĀ [[doc:Not connected to Asterisk Server]].
| |||
| == Cause == | ||
| |||
| Older versions of Asterisk 1.4 have a bug which causes the Asterisk server to fail to send a response to an iSymphony request for the current state of the phone system when first connecting. This prevents iSymphony from continuing to connect to the Asterisk server.
| |||
| == Workaround == | ||
| |||
| Restarting the Asterisk server process generally clears the issue within Asterisk, allowing iSymphony to continue operation.
| |||
| == Resolution == | ||
| |||
| This issue does not occur in Asterisk systems running versions 1.6 and higher. Upgrade Asterisk to one of these versions if possible to completely resolve the problem.
