Symptoms

When attempting to connect to the iSymphony server from a client you receive the following error:

Unknown macro: noformat. Click on this message for details.

Cause

The license installed on the server will determine the maximum amount of simultaneous client connections that can be made to the server at any given time. Once this limit is reached the server will deny further client connections causing this error to be reported.

Resolution

  • You can disconnect one of your clients to free up a slot for another client to connect.
  • You can purchase more client licenses.
  • If you believe that this error is being reached in error verify your license details and make sure the license is installed correctly.

Unregistered or unlicensed iSymphony servers will only allow one simultaneous client connection.

Multiple profile connections form a single client will use up multiple client connection licenses.
