The following is a list of the contact system permissions. These permissions allow global configuration options for controlling user access to features of the contact system.

The contact permissions are global configuration options. To modify the share and edit permissions of individual phone books, see the Sharing Phone Books section in the contact widget documentation.

Access Contacts

Users, User Groups

Controls whether a user is allowed to access the contact widget. Disables the contact widget if already added to a users dashboard.

Affects

  • The visibility of the contact widget when adding a widget to the dashboard
  • Access to the contact widget if the widget is already added to the dashboard

Create Phone Books

Users, User Groups

Controls whether a user is allowed to create new phone books.

Affects

  • The enabled state of the Add Phone Book button in the contact widget.
