The information in this document applies to iSymphony 3.

Problem

While using the client or administration interface in iSymphony, a modal dialog pops up with the text "An error has occurred. Select view details for more information.", and a link to view more details about the error. You cannot continue using iSymphony until this dialog is closed.

Troubleshooting

This dialog indicates that an error has occurred within iSymphony that was not properly handled. This can happen for several reasons:

  • There is an error in your configuration.
  • You are attempting to perform an action that you are not allowed to do.
  • A 3rd party system that iSymphony interacts with (such as your phone system) has malfunctioned.
  • You have encountered a bug in iSymphony.

In order to further troubleshoot the problem, you will need to click the 'view details' link, and examine the text within. The following pages will provide more information about some of the known error messages:
